If you have old windows with missing, broken, or crummy sash locks, we can help you get quality and even pretty darn cool looking sashlocks installed. Sash locks help keep windows from being drafty and are useful for security. Sashlocks draw the meeting rails of the upper and lower sash together, eliminating gaps, and also help hold the upper sash in place if the sash cords have dry rotted and aren’t able to hold the upper sash all the way up anymore.
The big box stores typically only have cheap pot metal type sashlocks that don’t feel good, don’t look good, and don’t stand the test of time.
That being said if your existing sashlocks are non functional due to 14,000 layers of paint, we can remove them and strip them to their original details and then reinstall them for you as well with a chemical free process.
